This week, our learning has been based around trains. We read ‘The Train Ride’ and enjoyed the rhythmic, repeating language before going on our own train rides from our class train station. Then we retold the story in our small world area. We imagined what we might see out of the train window and drew pictures of the view. We have also been developing our fine motor skills by creating train name signs and drawing and labelling journeys that we have made.
